This is the privacy policy for realleonida.com, written in plain English because the site is simple and the policy can be too.
The short version
Real Leonida is a static website. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no comment forms and no newsletter, and we do not ask you for your name, email address or anything else. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits. We may display advertising from third-party networks, and those networks may use cookies. We link to other websites, which have their own policies. That is nearly the whole story.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. The site has no user accounts and no forms that store what you type. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details or location data. Reading this site does not create a record of you with us.
When a contact form is added, this policy will be updated to cover it, and it will collect only what you choose to type into it.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand which pages people read and where visitors come from. This kind of analytics records aggregate information such as page views, the referring site, the country a visit came from, the browser and the type of device. It does not build a profile of you, does not track you across other websites, and is not used to identify individual visitors. Where the service needs a cookie at all, it is used only to tell repeat visits from new ones and is not shared for advertising.
Advertising and cookies
The site may display advertising served by third-party advertising networks. To show and measure ads, those networks may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser, and they may use information about your visits to this and other sites to show advertising they think is relevant to you. We do not control those cookies and we do not see the data they collect.
You can limit this. Most browsers let you block or delete third-party cookies. Advertising networks offer their own opt-out pages for personalized advertising. And if you use a browser or extension that blocks tracking, the site works exactly the same without it. If this site displays advertising, the network serving it will have its own privacy policy, and we will name the network here.
Links to other sites
A travel guide links out constantly: to parks, tour operators, booking platforms, maps and official sources. Some of those links are affiliate links, described in our affiliate disclosure. When you follow a link, you leave this site, and the site you land on has its own privacy policy that we do not control. Booking and retail platforms in particular will ask you for personal and payment details; that relationship is between you and them.
Children
This site is about the real places behind a game rated for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has sent us information through some route we have not anticipated, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is very little to access, correct or delete with us. If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you rights over your personal data, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, those rights apply to whatever an analytics or advertising provider holds about you, and their policies explain how to exercise them. If you believe we hold something ourselves, ask, and we will answer honestly and act on it.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example a contact form, a newsletter or a new analytics or advertising provider, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Changes are not applied retroactively.
Contact
Questions about privacy or data are welcome. The site’s contact form is coming; until then, use the social links in the footer and we will reply there.
